Dr. Sproch is a clinical psychologist located in Maine. She enjoys working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relational issues, perfectionism, and/or eating disorders. She helps individuals to recognize their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and identify opportunities for change. She is dedicated to utilizing evidence-based treatments (i.e., therapies that have been researched to be most effective for a particular condition) to help support the changes that clients want to make. She specializes in cognitive behavioral, behavioral, family-based, and behavioral family therapy.
Dr. Sproch received her doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University, which prides itself as a leader in the New York area for its commitment to cognitive behavioral and behavioral training, and evidence-based practices. Prior to Hofstra, she received her BA in Psychology from Vassar College.
Eating Disorder Specialty: Along with her training treating a spectrum of mental health conditions, she is also a certified eating disorder specialist. She has worked at eating disorder-specialized treatment facilities across the country. Most recently, she was the Program Director of the New England Eating Disorders Program at Sweetser, a premier eating disorder treatment facility in the state of Maine, where she led a multidisciplinary team in applying evidence-based treatments at multiple levels of care for adults and children. Prior to her time in Maine, Dr. Sproch was a postdoctoral fellow and then Research Coordinator at the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt (currently Eating Recovery Center- Baltimore), where she provided individual, group, and family therapy, as well as assessment, for patients at all levels of care.
Dr. Sproch’s practice is fully remote at this time. As a PsyPACT provider, she is able to treat clients virtually in over 38 states nationwide.
